Neyland v Quins

The Quins with a depleted side truly came unstuck at the Neyland Sports ground on Saturday on a cold, blustery day, shipping no less than 10 tries in the process.

It took the Pembrokeshire All Blacks just 5 minutes to open the scoring when Loose Head Prop Luke Dawes crashed over in the corner. Outside Half Toby Hayman just failed with the conversion. Further tries soon followed with 2 each for Right Wing Ben Goodridge and Full Back Patrick Bellerby, and to make matters worse for the Quins Toby Hayman converted all of them. Ironically for the Quins, they did score a fine try through Jordan Asparassa which arguably was the best try of the lot which was well orchestrated through Outside Half Ben Hathaway, who also added the extras.

With Neyland having the advantage of the slope in the 2nd half and with a 33-7 lead, it looked an almost impossible task for the Quins. However, the opening quarter belonged to the Quins with Dean Wilcox again leading from the front with some powerful bursts. He was ably suppored by Jack Davies and Alex Pierce who was once again outstanding in a losing cause. Ben Hathaway was also effective once again with some fine clearance kicking, which seems to be improving with every game. The All Blacks though were in no mood for sentiment, and added 5 more tries through Flanker Sam Cataki 2, Ben Goodridge, Craig Power and Adam Cawley, all of which were converted by Toby Hayman.
