U14s Half A Game festival on Sunday

Pembroke Dock Quins RFC is hosting a rugby festival on Sunday which will see their U14s get equal playing oppotunities, as part of Welsh rugby’s Half A Game initative.

Pembroek Dock Quins joins Haverfordwest, Narberth, Pembroke, Milford Haven, Cardigan, Tenby and Whitland rugby clubs to provide the host venues for the Half A Game action on Sunday 11 September. From Crymych to Pembroke Dock, boys and girls of all ages and abilities will make up 12 teams across eight festivals and everyone is guarenteed to play their part on the pitch.

The clubs will be opening their doors at 10.30am for the fixtures representing U8s to U15s, and everyone is invited! You can also join in the #HalfAGame conversation on social media via the WRU’s Community Twitter @WRU_Community, where clubs are encoraged to share their photos.

The 12 teams join more than 700 across Wales signed up to Half A Game, which aims to recruit and retain youngsters in the grassroots game by focusing on the rewards of rugby participation rather than the results of individual matches.

The Half a Game campaign is part of the WRU’s overarching remit to engage more people, more often with more enjoyment and more success. Find out more on the WRU Coaching Locker:  wrucoachinglocker.co.uk/half-a-game
