Quins v Laugharne

The Quins fell to another heavy defeat at the hands of mid-table Laugharne, despite a bright opening and only being 10 points adrift at the interval.

It took the visitors just 10 minutes to get on the scoreboard when Hooker Tom Waters forced his way over for his sides first try. Ross Michael missed the conversion. The Quins responded well and were unlucky not to force a score, Laugharne soon grabbed their 2nd try through Flanker Carwyn Jones which also went unconverted. The Quins despite the efforts of Stefan Hallward, Liam Scourfield and the barnstorming Dean Wilcox just could not force a score and went in at the break just 10 Points adrift.

If the Quins had any illusions about getting back into the game they were quickly dispelled when No8 Mark Williams who had been a thorn in the Quins side earlier in the season scored his sides 3rd try which also went unconverted to push the lead out to 0-22, The Quins now were beginning to struggle and with Outside Half Owain Thomas pulling the strings gaps started to appear in the Quins defence and it was no surprise when the visitors ran in a further another 4 tries through Owain Thomas 2, Thomas Davies and Rhys Thomas, all of which were converted, 3 by Ross Michael and 1 by Owain Thomas.
